KOKESHI the name of the doll is 'Ume komachi' which translated means 'beautiful plum blossom maiden', the kokeshi depicts a little girl wearing a red kimono, decorated with plum blossoms. Kokeshi in wood painted and hand carved by Japanese craftsman, who signed it, the signature can be seen on the back. A fine example of Japanese craftsmanship to collect.
